The ABCs of Me

I love the idea of this — then a friend asked me to complete it. So, here it is… the ABCs of me.

A is for adventure. I’m not usually the adventurous type but when it comes to business, creating work opportunities, or starting something new with my business partner, Mindy… count me in!

B is for books. I enjoy reading especially novels and autobiographies; because a good story is worth telling.

C is for Henry. My adorable dependent guy that makes me crave 100 more babies.

D is for Dad. It wasn’t until I became an adult that I have the connection to my Dad that I do. I cherish our relationship.

E is for equality — for everyone.

F is for family. Because we’re not meant to walk this world alone.

G is for genital integrity for boys and girls. Educate yourself on circumcision.

H is for hugs, especially from my children. Having their little arms wrapped around my neck is the greatest feeling in the world.

I is for integrity. Nothing should compromise it.

J is for Oliver. He connects with his smiles, and his sweet coos. The way he looks at me melts my heart and adds to the desire for 100 more babies!

K is for Kindle. Because getting mine was the best thing that happened to reading, ever.

L is for love. Live it, feel it, believe in it.

M is for moving. As in changing where I live — because I love a new place to live but love it even more when we’re moving out of town or state!

N is for nutrition. I’m learning more and more and striving to build a healthier life.

O is for orange. It’s one of my favorite colors and I love the way it looks accented in decorations with contemporary styles. Amazing and eye catching.

P is for patience. A virtue I wish I was better at. Practice makes progress.

Q is for quiet. I crave the quiet moments in life to write, reflect, day dream, or just gather myself.

R is for rights. Because we all deserve them, and need to be part of the fight to keep them.

S is for Steve. My big brother that I only developed a relationship with as an adult. He’s a great sounding board, and the perfect person to laugh at me when I’m taking myself too seriously. I really miss living close to him.

T is for time. It goes so quickly and you can never get it back.

U is for understanding and truth. Knowledge is power and I enjoy understanding my own actions and truths as well as those of other people.

V is for Vegas! My home, and where I belong.

W is for Washington. The 8 months we lived there were amazing; and I wish we could have stayed longer. Next time, Seattle will the place of choice. Pike Place market, here I come!

X is for eXtreme. I’m always on one side or the other, never in the middle — as in extreme opposites of the spectrum. I enjoy not having a gray area to work or deal with.

Y is for youth. Because I don’t regret for a moment all the stupid and careless things that shaped me into the person I am today.

Z is for my Zadey. The one to call me Mom, first. She amazes me daily and makes me want to be a better person, and Mother.
