Wordless Wednesday: Horseback Riding

Wordless Wednesday with Linky

Last month we took the family to Airport Appreciation Days, where there was a wide variety of activities for Zadey to do. The very first thing she was interested in was riding horses and she jumped on with a great deal of enthusiasm.

Knowing Zadey’s love for horses, I thought it might be a fun activity for her to learn more about them. So, I asked if they give riding lessons. They do… at $45 an hour.

Thanks, I think we’ll stick to the $3 ride around the ring. We’ll pass.

She had fun though and I love these pictures as it shows her genuine excitement to be riding.

My younger daughter rides regularly. Tonight is her lesson actually. There is something incredible about the bond she has with her horse. She enjoys it as much as it looks like your daughter enjoys it too.

Thanks so much for hosting! AND for the email remider. I’m trying to “cut back” on linkups b.c they take so much time…BUT I love meeting others and glancing thru their blogs! I appreciate your email — I clicked right over and added my link.

LOVE the horseback riding pics. Your dd is a natural! My kids each went on a short tail ride this summer when we were upstate in NY. They had a ball! We drove all the way across the country to CA thru ranches and stereotypical “horse country” and never gave them a chance to get on one! The trip went so quickly…so they did have an opportunity before we left the lake for summer.

    Have a great day!

She really does seem to be enjoying the ride. It’s sad that most sport classes for children tend to start at about 45 and go up and up…
If you give her many rides she can sure get the hang of it.

If you have not do so yet, stop by to see our little one at her favorite sport right now. http://www.craftyspices.com
Have a great rest of the day!

I love this! She looks like she had so much fun! I wonder how much riding lessons are here! I will have to look into that ;) Our Bay Beach Amusement Park here used to do rides like this.. All day everyday. I loved it when I was a kid. I always had to go 2-3 times when we went there. I don’t know if I’d have the courage to ride on a horse alone, but I always loved these rides!

My sister actually went to a boarding school where it was mandatory where she learned to ride either Western or English. She also had to take care of her horse and muck out the stable. My husband grew up with horses and frankly it’s a good skill to have. I’m super allergic to horses and if I was granted one wish, it would be to not be allergic so I could learn to ride.
